We Want Your Yamaha Tenere

The Yamaha Tenere 700 has been produced by Yamaha since 2019 and is the successor to the XT660Z Tenere. The 700 is a midsized adventure duel sport motorcycle. The range was first named Tenere after the Tenere stage of the Dakar Rally.

It has a 689cc power plant that is a liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine and is the same engine that is used in the already proven MT07 and the Tracer 700. The power produced from the engine is a suitable 72bhp that is more than ample for this sized motorbike. The Tenere has a gearbox, six-speed, that incorporates a wet clutch that drives the rear chain. The Tenere has spoked wheels, a 21-inch wheel on the front and an 18 inch on the rear, ideal for off-road use.

The Yamaha Tenere 700 is fitted with Brembo disk brakes all round. Upside down front forks and Mono-shock rear suspension unit that has 8 inches of travel. The seat height of 880mm keeps the rider a good away from the dirt but is low enough for the average-sized rider to sit comfortably and still touch the floor when stationary. The motorbike weighs in at just over 200kg, and the weight is well distributed over the bike, a good centre of balance, that will help you keep the motorbike upright, especially when off the road, if you were unfortunate to fall off it, you would stand a good chance of getting the bike back upright without staring to many muscles.

The Tenere only comes with a switchable ABS system as standard and is the only electronics that have been fitted as Yamaha’s approach to the build of the Tenere is to keep the weight as low as possible, unlike its rivals who seem to be loading their bikes with as much technology as they possibly can. On the plus side, the cost has been kept on the lower end and can be purchased from the main dealer at around £8.7K.

The motorbike has a good fuel economy and is boasting a whopping 60 mpg and a tank range of 200 miles. Ideal for those off-road adventures or even a bit of green lane riding.

So, do we think the Tenere 700 is the best adventure bike on the market today? We do.

Why Sell Your Yamaha To Us?

Selling your bike to us is safe & secure. Selling your motorcycle to a private buyer can be risky. Many people have had their bikes stolen after allowing the buyer to test drive their motorbike and have them ride off and not return. The seller then has the problem of claiming on the dreaded insurance, as many insurers will not payout when the motorbikes are "stolen with keys".

We provide payment on collection. No cash. Payments are through bank transfer at the time of sale at your home.

We also provide a no fuss promise. As long as the bike is in the condition that has been stated on the valuation, we will perform a quick check, then we will pay the money directly into your bank account, no fuss, no further haggling. We buy any bike that is as agreed in the valuation.
