We Want Your Harley Davidson

The Softail is a registered trademark owned by Harley Davidson as of 1984. Softail is a motorcycle whose rear shock absorber or suspension springs are located out of sight to give its appearance of a Hard-tailed motorcycle. The suspension previously tucked under the transmission on earlier models up to 2017, where the rear shock absorber was repositioned under the seat. Many generations of Harley Davidson Softails have produced variations of models that include Softail Standard, Softail Slim, Fat Boy, Night Train and many more.

The Harley Davidson Softail Standard gets its power from a Milwaukee Eight 107 V Twin engine with a displacement of 1746 cc that produces 86 horsepower. Priced in the UK from new at a smidge under £13000, you can ride with the feel of America in style. Suitable for A2 licence holders with a stretched riding position, Mid-mount foot controls is an excellent bike for city cruising or just light touring. The Harley Davidson Softail Standard, described by Harley Davidson as a raw and stripped-down bobber style motorcycle.

The Harley Davidson Softail Standard is one of the motorcycles that will never be altered by Harley; the style of the motorbike has been with them since the start. If you look at the new Standard for the first time, you would have a pretty tricky job to put a year of manufacture to it.

Future Of Harley Davidson

Harley has lately started to dabble in new ventures with water-cooled bikes, Adventure bikes and even Electric driven motorbikes, but I could only imagine that the only changes for the future would be to power it with Electricity but I bet it would still look the same. For the ride itself, the riding position that you have from this Harley is almost stereotypical and suits most riders, with the mini-ape handlebars and the forward-mounted footpegs. There is lots of chrome, as you will find with most of the Harley range. Chrome has been popular for decades, and Harley Davidson hasn’t let go of this style yet.

Other manufactures are producing more aggressive-looking machines by introducing different materials such as Carbon Fibre and even paint jobs that are mainly shades of black. Most Harleys have the bling factor, and the Harley Davidson Softail Standard is no exception. It has chrome exhausts, indicators, spoked wheels, forks, handlebars and headlight rim. As for the stereotype of the machine, you could imagine this bike being ridden by anyone wearing black leathers with tassels, James Dean or Steve McQueen.

Selling your bike to us is safe & secure. Selling your motorcycle to a private buyer can be risky.
