The Tuono is a bike that is dedicated and designed for riders that will not take any compromises. The Tuono V4 factory 1100 is a premium level of the Tuono range. It has many of the features from the race track version of Aprilia’s RSV4 and is almost a replica with upright handlebars as a replacement. The bike has won several awards, including best super naked from MCN.
This an absolute beast of a bike with power, poise, and precision all wrapped up into one machine. The cost for this premium bike will break the bank, and it is the best production superbike naked missile that money can buy. Everything is perfect with the Factory 1100, and I reckon it will be hard for Aprilia to make any changes in the future. From my own experience, you could go anywhere with this super machine. One minute it’s a mad beast with a roaring V4 that is amplified by the Akrapovic exhaust system, or you could take it nice and easy through narrowed streets. In any situation, it was a head-turner and a crowd-pleaser. It got to the stage where everywhere we went, someone was taking a photo of the Tuono Factory 1100 motorbike.
Naked Superbike?
The Aprilia Tuono Factory is a super naked version of the more expensive 1100 RR.
The liquid-cooled V4 engine produces a massive 175bhp as standard. The newer models have a full-colour TFT screen. The bikes design and styling, performance and total control of every type of ride condition, an excellent streetfighter bike or switch to track-bike with some simple on-screen selections.
The model’s history goes back to 2015 where the 1100 replaced the 1000cc version. The main chassis and electronics were basically the same as the predecessor.
In 2017 the machine was tweaked to accommodate the Euro 4 compliant standards. The colour TFT dash and instruments were introduced to the model, and other upgrades included: 8 setting Aprilia Traction Control, Quick shifter, Aprilia Wheelie Control, Aprilia Launch Control. Ohlin’s adjustable shocks and forks, Aprilia Pit Limiter, Aprilia Cruise control and smartphone Multimedia platform (optional extra). The brakes were improved by using bigger Brembo disks sets. The suspension was upgraded to produce the best possible handling. The forks were made lighter, and the rear shock was also upgraded at this time.
